The Medical Billing and Coding Course will provide the student with the basic knowledge in processing electronic insurance claims and patient billing services for healthcare providers and healthcare institutions like hospitals and clinics.
The student will develop the ability to identify legal aspects and terms associated with medical health insurance, medical savings program, network, and billing.
The program aims to make the student understand the Current Procedural Terminology and the International Classification of Diseases, thus, being able to assign accurate diagnostic codes to a variety of patient records.
The student will be eligible to take the national licensure exam through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).
